How to Crochet a face scrubby [ Craft Cozy Designs ]

Eco-Friendly Face Scrubby Crochet Pattern

Crochet face scrubby or crochet facial rounds are a great option to take care of yourself and the planet at once. They are mainly used to clean make-up from your face or you can also use it for exfoliation.

These crochet pads are eco-friendly and can be washed and reused as many times as you want. If you take good care of them, they can last for years.

They are the perfect substitute for disposable cotton pads and you can crochet a bunch of them in no time using a small amount of yarn. They make great gifts for a lot of occasions including birthdays and Mother's Day.

Yarn selection

Make sure you select a yarn that will be gentle to your skin but still exfoliate your face.

Crochet Stitches and Terminology

To complete this project, you need to know some basic crochet stitches. This pattern was written in US terminology and below you can find a list of stitches we will use.

  • magic ring
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • ch = Chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • yo = yarn over
  • rep = repeat
  • sc = single crochet
  • puff st = puff stitch

How to Crochet the Puff Stich

  • Yo, insert the hook in the stitch from the previous round and pull up a loop. (Repeat 4 times for this pattern) Until you have 9 loops. Yo, pull through all loops at once.
  • For the very 1st puff stitch, pull up the first loop to meet the height of a dc.
  • Yo, insert the hook on the first stitch and pull up a loop. Repeat 4 times on the same stitch.
  • Once you have 9 loops on the hook, Yo and pull through all loops.
